3-self-motivation-tips

Over the last few days I’ve noticed that people are posting on Facebook and talking a lot about motivation.  I’m not sure what it is, but it seems to be on a lot of people’s minds.

So how do you get your tasks done when you just don’t have the motivation to do it?  Here are 3 self motivation tips to help you get tasks done.

1. Good Enough List

One way is to create a good enough list.  This is a to do list that you make and if you are able to complete everything on this list it is good enough and you can quit for the day.

The nice thing about this list is if your’e in this type of mood you can quit once all of these tasks get done.  Sometimes when you start you’ll keep going and get more of your tasks done which is the goal, but you’ll still be happy with doing the list.

2. Create a Deadline

Set a deadline and announce it.  By setting a deadline and letting people know about your product or project you are making a commitment.  This will help you get your tasks done.

When people are counting on you to do something by a certain time you feel more of an obligation and it helps you complete your tasks.

A few months ago I went to the doctor and got a blood test done.  I learned that I have a Vitamin D deficiency.  You would be surprised how much taking this vitamin helps.  If you just “don’t feel like it” almost all the time and can’t seem to force yourself to get anything done make an appointment with your doctor and see if there isn’t something else happening.

It might take a month, but you’ll start to notice a huge difference in how you feel.  Please note I am not a doctor, but this is what helped me.

This is a short list of things that you can do to help her your tasks done, but there are many more.  What are some of the self motivation tips you use?

Yesterday we went to the river.  Unfortunately there were bees everywhere and DMan got stung on the foot because he took his shoes off.  They were extremely bad and we probably won’t got again.

But DMan had fun even with a bee sting.  Some other kids built a dam right where small rapids were and they were able to take inner tubes down it for a short bit.  DMan had a lifejacket on, so he body surfed.

Today we’ll be going to my niece’s 16th Birthday, but I’ve got a ton of things to do before I can go.  I hope I don’t have to drive through the hottest part of the day.  Plus I need to stop and get her a present.

Have a great and productive day!
