Vlog Challenge Day 3 – How Extensive Should You Change Your PLR?

Today I recorded video’s one, two and three – but if you notice I skipped posting day two.  Why?  Because I think I covered up the microphone and I couldn’t hear anything I was saying.  I will have to redo that video, but until then on this video I talk about how much you need to change your PLR.

Take a look at the 3 ways you can change PLR.

If you’ve got any tips or suggestions, please comment below.

    • Hi Jeff –

Thank you for the great questions. Google does not penalize for duplicate content there are sites that use curated content as their main content strategy. However, if the content on a page is exactly like another for the same keywords you might not get indexed. You can use CopyScape to check to see how unique your content is. Then change it based on how many people have used it. You don’t have to rewrite completely unless you want. Another trick would be to use pieces of several articles and post that instead of using the PLR exactly as is.

Tiffany Lambert explains it here…this is her old blog, but it is still a really great read http://www.tiffanydow.com/blog/plr-and-the-duplicate-content-issue/

Thank you for stopping by and let me know if you have any other questions.

  1. I love using PLR (and I have so darn much of it)… I don’t ever think I’ll run out of content anytime soon.

I ALWAYS inject my personality into the mix. I can tell when someone is using PLR, so I am a stickler for changing the PLR content before I use it.

You’re more comfortable in this video blog. Your tone is more conversational; even though I loved your first video — this one is already my favorite! 🙂

Keep up the good work, April!

    • Thank you Bonnie Gean!

I really love PLR as well. I’ve got tons of it and have am working on projects to get a few courses out.

I usually put a lot of my personality into PLR as well. For people who are just starting to use PLR I think that getting in the habit is the most important thing to do and if that means using it as is then that is okay as well.

      I really appreciate the encouragement.
